I love this book, not only because of the title but also because of what it talks about. This book is about getting rid of the rotten things in your life so there is more room for the positive things.

A big thing this book talks about is getting rid of the negative people in your life because they are the ones that are bringing you down. You need to be surrounded by positive people who support your dreams, appreciate everything about you and are fun to be around.

The thing is a lot of us put up with the rotten bananas just because we feel there is nothing better. I dated a guy once who told me I was like wholesome fruit. When he first said that to me, I was confused. WTF was he talking about? He then explained that a lot of the women he meets are like rancid fruit, good on the outside but bad on the inside. He said I am good inside and out. Now I wasn’t sure if this was a compliment or not but figured it must be because he was here with me. Then a month later he dumped me for a rancid fruit. I know this because later he told me the relationship didn’t work. We stayed friends for a while and he would tell me about these women that would treat him so bad.  And he is not the only guy that does that. I have a lot of guy friends that stay with a woman who looks good on the outside but is not so good on the inside.

Me.. I have gotten rid of the rotten bananas in my life. I moved out of an apartment me and my ex husband shared. I moved on from a relationship that tore me down to the lowest level. And today I said goodbye to someone who has been a part of my life for over two years because of the hurtful things he was saying. Though it was hard to let go of someone I have known and was good friends with for awhile, it felt good to say, “I don’t want you in my life anymore. You are to much negative energy and I don’t need that in my life. Goodbye.”

Besides now I have good things going for me. I have a business that is taking off, amazing family and friends, and two crushes. Thats right I said two. Hey I am single, you have to explore your options.
