Finally Recovered
I am finally caught up on sleep and recovered from the long weekend. Three of my friends from Wisconsin came out to visit me this past weekend for my birthday. One of my friends had never been to California and the other two were out here two years ago for my 30th. Though they were hoping for sunny warm weather it was cold and rainy for part of their trip. One day it was sunny and a little bit warmer.
They got to town last Thursday and left early Sunday morning. We celebrated in official Wisconsin style, going out every night. Friday night was the crazy night as it was one of my friend’s birthday so we hit up the town in a limo and went to a newer restaurant in Los Angeles. One of the bars we went to was the infamous Viper Room. Friday night was Pussycat Doll Lounge Night. Yes the Dolls were there (not the ones that have the album out but the ones that Robin Antin finds and forms a new group), dancing in these silver sequin outfits with big black ribbons in them. It was really hot and Robin Antin if you are reading this, can I get one of those in my size?
We ended the night at the Saddle Ranch where there is a mechanical bull in the middle of the restaurant/bar. It was the end of the night and more friends met us there including one of my guy friends. He is someone I met after my ex husband left. Though sometimes he makes me mad, he is someone I can’t let go of. Hanging out with him that night was one of the best presents. Well the new jeans I got from mom and the roomie were nice too.
Sunday night a friend of mine out here took me out for my official birthday and my favorite bartender was working.
This weekend was very much needed, hanging out with the girls, catching up and telling stories.
In other news, I am officially a business owner according to the State of California!!
